Spa Policies & Guest Etiquette

Welcome to Salinair Salt Room Spa. We are committed to providing you with a serene and therapeutic experience. To ensure the best wellness experience for all our guests, please review the following policies and etiquette guidelines carefully.

Scheduling & Appointments

Booking Requirements

  • All services require advance booking. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability but are not guaranteed.
  • A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to hold your reservation.
  • Online booking is available 24/7 through our website. You may also call us during business hours to schedule.
  • Group events and private parties require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your date and time.

Arrival Time

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your session to complete orientation, use restrooms, store belongings, and prepare.
  • Sessions begin promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may not be permitted to enter once a session has begun, as this disrupts the therapeutic environment for other guests.
  • Late arrivals more than 10 minutes may be asked to reschedule to the next available session.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

24-Hour Notice Required:

  • All cancellations and reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation fees must be paid before scheduling your next appointment.

No-Show Policy:

  • Failure to arrive for your scheduled appointment without prior notice will result in a charge of 100% of the service fee to the credit card on file.
  • After two no-show appointments, clients will be required to prepay for all future bookings.

How to Cancel or Reschedule:

  • By phone or text at 248-747-0543

Salt Room Etiquette

Quiet Environment

  • The salt room is a sacred quiet space for relaxation, meditation, and healing. No talking is permitted inside the salt room.
  • Please keep voices low in the entrance hallway and waiting areas.
  • If you need assistance during a session, please quietly exit the room and speak with a staff member.

Electronic-Free Zone

  • The salt room is a completely electronic-free zone. No cell phones, smartwatches, cameras, or other electronic devices are permitted.
  • Please turn off all devices and store them in the secure lockers provided.
  • Violating this policy disrupts the therapeutic environment and may result in dismissal from your session without refund.

Attire & Footwear

  • Disposable foot covers are provided and must be worn over your socks to enter and exit the salt room.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You will not leave covered in salt, so casual attire is appropriate.
  • The room temperature is maintained at a comfortable 70°F. Complimentary blankets are always provided for your comfort.

Fragrances & Scents

  • Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, heavily scented lotions, or any fragrances when attending your session.
  • Scents can trigger respiratory issues in sensitive guests and can be absorbed by the salt, affecting the experience for others.

Respecting the Salt Environment

  • Do not touch the salt-covered walls, bricks, boulders, or decorations. The salt is delicate and carefully maintained.
  • Do not throw salt or remove salt from the room.
  • Please do not move the zero-gravity chairs or disturb the room setup.

Food & Beverages

  • No outside food or beverages are permitted in the salt room, including coffee or snacks. Complimentary tea and bottled water is provided during your session.

During Your Session

  • Once your session begins, please do not exit the salt room unless it is an emergency, as this disrupts other guests.
  • Please use the restroom before entering the salt room.
  • You may bring a book or magazine (without perfumed advertisements), tissues, earplugs, a small pillow, or a light blanket.
  • If you experience excessive coughing, please cough into a tissue or towel to muffle the sound for the comfort of others.
  • If you are prone to snoring, we encourage you to sit more upright and take deeper breaths to help reduce snoring.

Children & Minors

  • Children under 12 years of age must be supervised by an adult guardian at all times.
  • Each adult guardian must complete an intake form and orientation.
  • Children must use inside voices both inside the salt room and in hallways.
  • Children may play gently with salt in designated areas but must not throw salt or engage in roughhousing.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for their children’s behavior. Disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the session without refund.
  • Diaper changing is only permitted in restrooms.

Health & Safety Policies

Medical Disclaimer

Halotherapy (dry salt therapy) is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It is not a substitute for medical care. You should consult your physician before beginning salt therapy, especially if you have any medical conditions. Always follow your doctor’s treatment plan and continue any prescribed medications.

When to Avoid Salt Therapy

Please avoid salt therapy if you are experiencing:

  • Fever or acute/contagious phase of any illness (cold, flu, infection)
  • Active tuberculosis
  • Cardiac insufficiency or severe heart conditions
  • COPD in the third stage
  • Spitting of blood or bleeding
  • Alcohol or drug intoxication
  • Unstable or uncontrolled hypertension

Smoking Policy

  • Salinair Salt Room Spa is a non-smoking facility.
  • For the safety of guests with severe respiratory conditions, clients must not have smoked for at least two hours prior to their session. Third-hand smoke residue can be harmful to sensitive guests.

Possible Side Effects

Some guests may experience mild, temporary side effects during or after their session, including:

  • Dry or itchy throat
  • Nasal drip or increased mucus
  • Increased coughing (as the respiratory system cleanses)
  • Mild skin sensitivity

These are natural responses as your body cleanses accumulated pollution and pathogens. If symptoms persist or worsen, please decrease the frequency of sessions and consult your physician.

Payment & Refund Policies

Accepted Payment Methods

  • We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) and approved gift cards.
  • We do not accept cash payments.

No Refund Policy

  • All services, packages, and memberships are non-refundable once purchased or performed.
  • If you are dissatisfied with a service, please notify management immediately before leaving so we can address your concerns.
  • Spa credit may be issued at management’s discretion; no cash or credit card refunds will be provided.

Gift Certificates

  • Gift certificates may be purchased in-spa or online.
  • All gift certificate sales are final. They cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash.
  • Gift certificates are valid for 3, 6, or 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Gift certificates must be presented at the time of service along with valid ID.
  • Lost or stolen gift certificates cannot be replaced — no exceptions.

Personal Belongings & Security

  • You are responsible for your personal items.
  • Secure lockers are provided for your convenience.
  • We recommend leaving valuables in your vehicle or at home.
  • Good Vibes Spa, LLC is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.

Guest Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

Safety Monitoring & Cameras
